MARK WINS TWO PLANET CONNECTIONS AWARDS
On August 3rd, Mark received the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity's Award for Outstanding Playwriting of a Staged Reading for his play, A Man's Man. This is the third time he has been honored for outstanding playwriting by New York's premiere socially conscious theatre festival.
Mark was also recognized for Why Bother -- a night of short plays featuring Mark's comedy, Crazy at Heart -- with the award for Outstanding Overall Production of an Evening of One-Acts!

Mark's award-winning play, The Other Day, traveled to Washington D.C. as part of the Capital Fringe Festival, where it was a favorite among Fringe audiences!
On May 17, Anne Berlin presented a staged reading of Mark's latest play, A Man's Man, to a sold-out crowd at the Paradise Factory in New York's East Village. Directed by Valentina Fratti, the reading featured Geneva Carr (Hand to God), George Dvorsky (The Scarlet Pimpernel, Closer Than Ever), Chris Henry Coffey (Bronx Bombers, Water by the Spoonful), Dennis Parlato (Other Desert Cities) and Ian Whitt. The reading was produced as part of the 2014 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.
Mark's short play, Crazy at Heart, was staged as part of Why Bother?--an evening of irrevent, yet poignant comedy. The play, directed by Andrew Block, starred Steven DeLuca and Kathy Searle as a man with commitment issues and his therapist who is dealing with some serious issues of her own.
